(LOT 1729)
Pair of Oakland A's Team Signed A's Baseballs from 1973-World Champs (25 Sigs) & 1987 (28 Sigs) - Both with Reggie Jackson - PSA/DNA LOA

The Oakland Athletics is one of the most historic franchises in Major League Baseball history, holding eight World Series titles dating back to the advent of the Fall Classic. Under the ownership and management of Connie Mack from 1901-1950, the A's won five World Series with Hall of Famers Jimmie Foxx, Mickey Cochrane, Eddie Collins, Home Run Baker, Eddie Plank and Lefty Grove leading the way among many others. The A's would not reach the Fall Classic again, after the 1930 title, until 1972, having relocated to Kansas City in 1955 and then again to Oakland in 1968. Since landing in Oakland in '68, the Athletics have captured five American League pennants and four more World Series titles, including three straight from 1972-74. Presented here are two baseballs from the Oakland Athletics including a 1973 World Series championship team. 1) 1973 World Series champions baseball featuring Gene Tenace, Vida Blue and Bert Campaneris as well as Hall of Famers Dick Williams (mgr.) Reggie Jackson, Rollie Fingers, Jim "Catfish" Hunter and 18 others. The ball remains in overall excellent condition with light toning and signatures display in "6-9" strength. 2) 1987 Oakland A's Commemorative baseball featuring Mark McGwire, Dave Stewart and Joaquin Andujar as well as Hall of Famers Tony La Russa, Dennis Eckersley, Reggie Jackson and 22 others. The ball displays with moderate toning overall with the signatures presenting at "7-10" strength. Jackson's autograph on the Sweet Spot is strikingly bold in black with his #44 written beneath his name. Jose Canseco's signature has been deemed as clubhouse. PSA/DNA LOA included.
