(LOT 1728)
Pair of 1985 New York Yankee Team Signed OAL Baseballs with Mattingly, Martin & Berra (25/19 Sigs) - PSA/DNA LOA

Under the management of Yogi Berra, only 16 games at the helm, and Billy Martin, George Steinbrenner's nemesis, the 1985 New York Yankees battled all season to finish second in the American League East, two games behind the Toronto Blue Jays. Despite the best efforts of the '85 AL MVP Don Mattingly as well as sluggers Don Baylor (23 HRs) and Dave Winfield (26 HRs), and base-stealing king Rickey Henderson (80), the Yankees could not overcome the lead that Toronto claimed only weeks into the season. Offered here are two OAL Bobby Brown baseballs signed by the 1985 New York Yankees team. 1) With Rickey Henderson and Billy Martin prominently scripted on the Sweet Spot, this ball features 25 signatures that include Mattingly, Lou Piniella and Dave Righetti as well as Hall of Famers Phil Niekro and Dave Winfield. The overall excellent conditioned baseball presents minimal toning with signatures ranging from "7-9" strength. 2) Featuring Yogi Berra on the Sweet Spot, this creamy sphere offers signatures from Mattingly and Ken Griffey Sr. as well as Hall of Famers Winfield and Niekro and 14 others. This pair of '85 Yankees balls remains in excellent display condition and hold some of the great Yankee players from the mid-1980s. PSA/DNA LOA included.
