EARLY 1920s RUTH!!! This circa 1920s Babe Ruth PSA Type 1 Underwood & Underwood photo, obviously taken in the early 1920s. The capless Bambino is donning his classic New York road flannels, with a black mark situated beneath his waistline, a possible printing defect from the original negative. The sepia-toned image is crystal clear and boasts near-perfect contrast, with the only other notable imperfection being a white circular defect to the right of Ruth's belt buckle. For full disclosure, there are two common embossments near the upper and lower regions that read: "DO NOT REMOVE FILE COPY", a common attribute for numerous Underwood & Underwood 1920s photos. The verso includes the prestigious new service credit stamp, the final compliment for a highly coveted early 1920s Ruth image taken when the majestic Babe was revolutionizing baseball via his unprecedented number of home runs, including 113 dingers in his first two Yankee seasons!
