(LOT 1770)
(2) 1936 World Series Programs Including One Scored from Game 2

Following a tough 6-1 loss to the crosstown New York Giants in Game 1 of the 1936 World Series, the Yankees came roaring back to dismantle Game 2 starter Hal Schumacher and the rest of the Giants relievers for an 18-4 victory. Tony Lazzeri and Bill Dickey powered two home runs while Joe DiMaggio went 3-for-5 with two RBIs and Lou Gehrig went 2-for-5 with three RBIs. The offered pair of programs come from that 1936 Fall Classic with one scored from Game 2 at the Polo Grounds. 1) Clean and colorful unscored program & scorecard from the 1936 World Series. Minimal signs of handling wear present, and small crease at the upper left corner of the last cover page. 2) Also colorful program with "SECOND GAME – 1936 WORLD SERIES" and box score written across the top in black fountain pen including batteries. The center scorecards are clearly and concisely scored in black fountain, and adjusted for player changes and substitutions, with additional notes around the scoring grids. The back is clean save for a large garish autograph (subject unknown). This is an extremely well-preserved duo of scorecard/programs from the 1936 World Series of which the Yankees won 4-games-to-2.
