The 1951 Yankees were an excellent mix of grizzled veterans and youthful ballplayers including Billy Martin, Gil McDougald and rookie sensation Mickey Mantle. They won the American League pennant by five games over the Cleveland Indians and then knocked off the New York Giants to win their 14th World Series title and third in a record string of five straight. Offered is a circa-1950s Type 3 photograph featuring the 1951 World Series Champion New York Yankees. This PSA encapsulated photo of the World Series champs remains in excellent condition with virtually no border or corner wear and only minimal facial abrasion above the central image. The snow-white reverse is equally strong with only slight discoloration at the bottom left.
