In 1941, the New York Yankees won the American League pennant with a whopping 17 games over the Boston Red Sox to set up what would be the first of eleven meetings between them and the Brooklyn Dodgers in World Series play. The Yankees prevailed in five games as Dem Bums were far overmatched by the powerful New York squad both at the plate and from the mound. Offered is a Type 4 team photo of the World Series Champion New York Yankees from "Culver Pictures". This PSA encapsulated 8" x 10" photo displays light edges wear, aging and some creasing at the corners, but no significant surface marks to mar the central team image. The lightly toned back holds a "Culver Pictures, Inc." sticker and a separate barcode filing designation sticker.
