TERRIFIC TOM TERRIFIC!!! Tom Seaver is one of only 24 pitchers to eclipse the 300-win mark, tallying 311 victories over his two-decade-long career. Over 12 seasons with the New York Mets, Tom Terrific posted a 198-124 record, led the National League in wins twice, in ERA three times and won three NL Cy Young awards. Following his Rookie of the Year season in 1967, "The Franchise" helped lead the Miracle Mets to a 1969 World Series championship. Traded to Cincinnati, Seaver once again led the NL in wins with 14 during the 1981 strike-shortened campaign. He retired in 1986 with the Boston Red Sox.
