Ty Cobb Vintage 12" Decal Mini-Bat - Rare Decal
COBB BAT!!! Never up for debate, Ty Cobb is unquestionably one of the greatest hitters in history, if not THE greatest. His 12 batting titles and lifetime .366 batting average, not to mention his fiery competitiveness, all assisted in solidifying his place in history. Offered here is a tremendous relic featuring the Georgia Peach on a mini-bat. This immensely rare decal, dating from the 1910-15 era, features Cobb against the oak barrel with gold trim, sky blue and red ribbons, and the slogan "Ty Cobb uses the Louisville Slugger Exclusively" though the bat itself was not produced by H&B. This is one of the only vertical decals of its type, and certainly that we have ever seen, as most commemorative bat decals appear horizontal. Still in excellent condition for the year, it does show light color loss and aging wear, though the decal is plainly clear. This scarce 12" mini-bat has survived a century of storage commemorating the brilliance of Ty Cobb.
