UTILITY CHAMPION!!! Jack Phillips played nine years in the Major Leagues with the Yankees, Pirates and Tigers. Over the course of his 343 games, he posted a .283 batting average, 252 hits including 42 doubles and 101 RBIs. He also posted a .986 fielding percentage at first base. However, most notably, Phillips helped lead the 1947 New York Yankees to a World Series title. Offered here is Phillips' highest graded 1952 Topps #240 graded 9 MINT by PSA. This example remains in virtually perfect condition with dead-on centering, razor-sharp borders, and crystal-clear imagery and text.
