Babe Ruth Signed August 9, 1944 Boxing Ticket Stub from the Amateur Matches at Paterson, N.J.'s Hinchliffe Stadium PSA 8 NM-MT Auto Grade

RUTH SIGNED TICKET!!! This August 9, 1944 boxing ticket stub has been signed by the incomparable Babe Ruth. Boldly scripted "Babe Ruth" in black fountain pen on the obverse side, PSA has awarded the exalted signature an 8 assessment. The Bambino signed this stub for an avid fan who attended the popular Diamond Gloves matches held at Hinchliffe Stadium in Paterson, New Jersey. It's no secret that the Babe loved boxing, frequently attending various matches throughout the tri-state area. The Diamond Gloves amateur matches were actually a precursor to the renowned Golden Gloves, with the renowned Hinchliffe Stadium hosting these matches for several years. Designated a National Landmark in 2013, Hinchliffe Stadium was opened on July 8, 1932 and offered a 10,000-seat capacity. The boxing glove-shaped ticket stub is in fine condition, with some negligible soiling and a circular crease apparent near the left edge. The verso includes the AUG. 9, 1944 date, and the original attendee most likely wrote "Box 1; Seat 11". One of the more obscure Babe Ruth autographed artifacts, it stands as a steadfast reminder of the Babe's propensity for attending a multitude of popular sporting events!
