Babe Ruth Signed 1923 One Dollar Silver Certificate PSA/DNA Authentic
RUTH SIGNED DOLLAR BILL!!! This 1923 One Dollar Silver Certificate has been boldly signed "Babe" Ruth in blue fountain pen in the lower right quadrant, authenticated and encapsulated by PSA for ironclad authenticity. The imposing script portrays 8/9 strength, and much to the delight of avid Bambino autograph collectors, it reveals the seldom-surfacing "Babe" in quotes. Other than a few scant post-1930 examples, Ruth stopped placing his Babe name in quotes since 1929, most likely placing this as a pre-1929 Babe Ruth signed heirloom. While the bottom of the "R" in Ruth depicts a diminutive white surface blemish, its negligible size is rendered virtually irrelevant versus the remarkable signature strength of the entire autograph. The silver certificate does reflect numerous creases, most likely due to the dollar bill being folded up and placed in a previous owner's wallet or money clip. Of course, it is the sensational Babe Ruth autograph that supersedes any condition issues, scripted in the decade when the Babe was revolutionizing baseball with his record-setting mammoth dingers while embarking on a career that would establish him as baseball's greatest all-time player!
