PERFECT FACE!!! In 1957, Mickey Mantle grabbed the American League MVP award and led the New York Yankees to the World Series. His exceptional .365 batting average was second only to Ted Williams .388 mark. That year Mickey Mantle earned All-Star status for the sixth time and this 1958 Topps #487 All-Star card illuminates that honor. This PSA 8 example displays a virtually flawless face with extraordinary centering, bright color, razor-sharp edges and corners. The back shows excellent registration and if not for the OC on the reverse, we would be hard pressed not to ask why this is not a 9 MINT or better.
