(LOT 84)
1936 Babe Ruth Signed Audubon Scorecard PSA/DNA Authentic

Babe Ruth has boldly signed this Audubon Country Club Golf Scorecard on the front cover. The foursome that day, on April 29th, 1936, was Bob Craigs, Audubon Club Pro from 1913-1914; Ward Hillerich, VP of Hillerich and Bradsby Co., manufacturer of the Louisville Slugger baseball bats; "Wild Bill" Mehlhorn, Pro Golfer, winner of 21 PGA tours and member of the Golf Hall of Fame; and lastly, the Sultan of Swat, Babe Ruth! Ruth flew into Louisville on Wednesday, April 29th, 1936 for the Kentucky Derby festivities. Included in this lot is a copy of The Courier Journal, which gives an account of the golf match recorded on the scorecard. A true "matched" piece of Ruthian memorabilia is accounted for in the included article. This is one incredible piece of Babe Ruth signed memorabilia that has stood the test of time.
