(LOT 1889)
1988 World Series Game 1 Ticket Stub Signed by Kirk Gibson, Receipt for Ticket, Gibson Signed Program & Gibson Bobblehead - All from KIRK GIBSON's MIRACLE Home Run PSA/DNA Auth

The date was October 15th, 1988. Game 1 of the 1988 World Series and the highlight was NL MVP Kirk Gibson's miracle home run. It was the bottom of the 9th, Dodgers down by one (4-3) and at the time, future baseball Hall of Famer Dennis Eckersley was on the mound. The count was 3-2 as Mike Davis safely stole 2nd. With the tie runner on 2nd, Gibson steps into the batter's box and then steps out for a second. Playing with a pulled hamstring and bad knee, Gibson steps into the batter box and sends the Official World Series baseball over the 360-foot right field fence. GAME OVER! And game one is in the bag for the Los Angeles Dodgers.

According to Hall of Fame Broadcaster, Vin Scully, "In a year that has been so improbable, the impossible has happened". Here is a stub from that historic game signed by the Hall of Famer himself and encapsulated/authenticated by PSA/DNA. Also included is a signed 1988 World Series program from the game, a receipt for the ticket and an unsigned Kirk Gibson Bobblehead produced years later. All three signed items were autographed at the SEARS on Bellflower in Long Beach, CA in the '90s and have been PSA/DNA Authenticated. An incredible lot for the advanced Dodgers and World Series collector.
