GENTLEMAN MATTY!!!... Due to their highly sensitive gold borders, T205s may well be the most difficult cards in our hobby to find in top condition. True VG-EX commons are virtually never offered, let alone a major Hall of Famer. Mathewson's baseball accomplishments are absolutely legendary. It's doubtful that there has ever been a pitcher who dominated opposing batters as consistently as Matty. One of the first five Hall of Fame inductees in 1936. Mathewson compiled a 2.13 ERA over 17 seasons. Offered here is what may very well be his most attractive card. He is captured in a legendary portrait with his cap pushed back and tilted to the left.
