(LOT 1811)
2003 MLB All Star Game/FanFest at Comiskey Park City of Chicago Banner

COMISKEY ALL-STAR FEST!!! In the late-1980s, Major League Baseball incorporated an interactive FanFest where baseball fans could hit balls facing images of current and former big-league pitchers, have personalized gloves and bats produced specifically for them and view exhibits of historic memorabilia worn or used by retired ballplayers. The FanFest has been a rousing success for decades and continues to draw athletes and fans during the 3-day All-Star Game affair. Not only are ticket holders able to view the greatly anticipated Home Run Derby and the All-Star Game, but they are able to dig in at the plate and take a few swings or leave with a personalized memento from the event.

Offered is a 2003 All-Star Game FanFest light pole banner once displayed around the home of the 2003 All-Star Game, Chicago's Comiskey Park. This 97" x 30" vinyl flag features deep rich red color with a pitcher likeness at delivery on one side and a slugger awaiting the next pitch at the plate on the other. The "2003 All-Star Game" insignia presenting the uniquely distinctive Comiskey pinwheels sits atop the batter image while the "John Hancock All-Star FanFest" logo tops the pitcher. As the corporate sponsor for the event, the "John Hancock" emblem is printed in white against a black background on either side at the bottom. The Banner remains in excellent condition with only minimal handling wear and soiling. Wind slits are present and pole pockets are sewn at top and bottom.
