Trio of Different 1890s Scorecards
Offered is a trio of three different generic Wright & Ditson unscored scorecards from the 1890s. Each card measures 5" x 5-1/2" unfolded and feature a captioned baseball theme on the face. Included are: 1) "PUT IT HERE" in reference to a double play with "2B" & "1B" at the bottom; 2) "OFFICIAL SCORE" booklet next to a player leaping for "A HIGH FLY"; and 3) "TWO OUTS, TWO STRIKES & THREE ON BASES" (every child's dream) with a pitcher in his wind-up trying to avoid the grand slam. These colorful Wright & Ditson scorecards are in excellent overall condition with minimal water marks, soiling or toning, most visible within the scorecard, though nothing obstructs the central images of the cartoonish ballplayers in action. A delightful trio!
