1974 Braves vs. Dodgers - April 8th Ticket Stub When Aaron Passes Ruth's All-Time Homers for #715 PSA 7 NM
IT'S GONE! IT'S 715!!! After hitting his 713th home run in the second to last game of the 1973 season, Hank Aaron had to wait an agonizing 186 days to clout his Ruth-tying 714th home run. The off-season must have been excruciating for the Braves 40-year-old left fielder. Four days later, Aaron tattooed LA Dodgers Al Downing's 1-0 pitch over the left field wall to claim the home run crown that the inimitable Babe Ruth had held for 39 years. Offered is a historic ticket stub from that monumental game from April 8, 1974. This wonderful stub has been encapsulated by PSA as a 7 NM and remains in tremendous condition. The ticket stub shows little to no wear aside from light print marks. Aaron's moment when he passed the great Babe Ruth was one of the most memorable in history, as we watched him pass second and two fans proudly congratulated him as he rounded the bases. This amazingly well-kept keepsake comes from that historic game making it a prized possession for the historic ticket collector!
