1955 Willie Mays and Ruben Gomez "Score for Everybody" Original 9" x 7 1/4" UPI News Service Photograph PSA/DNA
On June 29, 1955, Willie Mays went 3-for-5 with two home runs including his first career grand slam while Gomez offered up only three hits in nine innings for a 6-1 victory over the Dodgers. Offered is an original 9" x 7 1/4" Type 1 photograph taken after their heroic game featuring the pair arm in arm. The photo is crisp with no visible flaws on the front other than a slight crease at the lower left corner. The back still holds the paper caption "Score for Everybody" and dated "6/29/55" by United Press. The reverse shows only minimal signs of toning.
