1959 Willie Mays Original 7" x 9" Type 1 Photograph Entitled "Off-Season Training Steps" PSA/DNA
In 1959, Willie Mays had six outfield assists and a .984 fielding percentage. Offered is an original 7" x 9" UPI photograph of the Giants centerfielder sharpening his skills throwing a ball against his stoop steps in mid-Manhattan. This image shows little signs of wear and virtually no obtrusive surface abrasions. The lightest of touches on the corners. The reverse still retains the paper caption entitled "Off-Season Training Steps" and is dated "10-20-59" by UPI. A black printed UPI stamp is also presents on the back. Some discoloration is apparent at the right edge.
