Letter reads, "Dear Peggy, Pee Wee is the best shortstop in the National League so naturally I would rather have him play along side of me. It would be my good luck if Pee Wee did come to NY and would be on the program. He's one of the nicest guys I have ever met. It's not hard to say what (Johnny) Schmitz (1949 Bowman #52 Card Included) has on us. He is a very good pitcher and every time we play the Cubs they are tough".
