Ronald Reagan Autographed 8" x 10" Framed B&W Photo Inscribed "The Gipper" PSA/DNA Pre-Certified
Eulogies of Ronald Reagan referred to him as "the Gipper", a nickname he earned not during his years in politics, but for one of his most famous screen roles. Reagan's first big role as an actor was playing ill-fated football star George Gipp in the 1940 film classic, Knute Rockne - All-American. In the one of the movie's most famous scenes, a dying, bed-ridden Gipp - nicknamed the Gipper - urges his college teammates to win an important football game in his honor. "Win one for the Gipper," Reagan says in the film. The role catapulted the young Ronald Reagan to fame, and the nickname "the Gipper" stuck with him forever after. Offered here is a spectacular 8" x 10" black & white action photo of a young Ronald Reagan in his football gear getting ready to throw a pass. Signed in the upper right side in black sharpie" Ronald Reagan The Gipper". Framed nicely in a dual matted pewter frame. PSA/DNA Pre-Certified.
