A magnificent c.1950 Joe DiMaggio batting image, the "Yankee Clipper" is portraying his classic batting stance in what appears to be a Florida Spring Training batting practice session in either 1950 or 1951. Measuring approximately 7-1/2" x 10", the illustration exhibits the finest possible resolution and black & white contrast, and is well centered between four white borders that do depict some spotted enamel peel. Deemed an original Type I photo by PSA and encapsulated for a superb presentation, this 70-year old memento reveals only a few diminutive wrinkles primarily near the corners, with the "Joltin Joe" central image remaining virtually unscathed.
