(LOT 1245)
1973 World Series Game 2 FULL TICKET Mets-10 Athletics - 7 (12) Oct. 14 W. Mays Last Hit/RBI PSA 7 NM

Offered here is a PSA Graded NM 7 by PSA'd ticket grading standards. This ticket would represent Willie Mays last hit and RBI. Game 2, eventually won by the Mets 10–7 in twelve innings, set a new record for the longest game in Series history at four hours and thirteen minutes. Along with blinding sunshine "turning every fly ball into adventure" (especially for a 42-year-old Willie Mays), Curt Gowdy described the contest in the official MLB 1973 Fall Classic highlight film as one of the "longest and weirdest games in World Series history". A beautiful green, white and yellow ticket encapsulated and graded by PSA.
