(LOT 81)
T206 Frank Chance "Yellow Portrait" – Sovereign 350 Subjects/Factory 25 (PSA NM/MT 8) - "1 of 1" Sovereign Cigarettes; NONE Graded Higher!

Extremely "Rare for the grade", this PSA 8 Yellow Portrait Frank Chance Sovereign Cigarettes offering stands alone as the SOLE and HIGHEST GRADED T206 Sovereign "Yellow Portrait" Chance extant! The immortal Hall of Famer Frank Chance will forever be linked to the legendary "Tinker to Evers to Chance" double play combination, and while a fine 1st baseman and batsman, Chance's place in Cooperstown was solidified by his managerial success.

From 1906 – 1910 he led the Cubs to four pennants in five years including two World Championships, with this world-class prize likewise depicting championship caliber. The brilliant portrait image reveals a flawless-like orange/yellow hued background encompassing Carl Horner's timeless Chance pose. Slightly favoring the left edge between four absolutely blinging white borders, this Chance gem looks as if it was just pulled from a tobacco pack today, reflecting virtually all of its original factory issued attributes that are more than consistent with the highly coveted technical assessment!
