(LOT 80)
T206 Frank Chance "Batting" – Piedmont 350/460 Subjects/Factory 25 (PSA NM/MT 8) - "1 of 2" Piedmonts; No Piedmonts Graded Higher!

This spectacular PSA 8 Frank Chance "Batting" T206 Piedmont Cigarettes 350-460 Subjects offering stands as one of only 2 Piedmonts on the PSA "Pop" Chart with NONE graded higher! Similar to Frank Chance's "Turn of the Century" iconic stature, this cardboard marvel resides as one of the finest of its kind. Nicknamed the "Peerless Leader", Frank Chance will eternally be remembered as the final link in the immortal "Tinker to Evers to Chance" double play combination. While a fine 1st baseman and batsman, Chance's place in Cooperstown was solidified by his managerial success.

From 1906 – 1910 he led the Cubs to four pennants in five years including two World Championships, a feat that should in no way be underestimated for it took the Cubs 108 years to claim the next championship! His representation on this spectacular offering is, likewise, championship caliber including a sparkling batting pose, brilliant orange/green background hues, bright white borders, dead-on centering and super clean surfaces. One of the more impressive Piedmont Cigarettes Frank Chance batting subjects, it anxiously awaits a new home in any advanced tobacco gathering!
