(LOT 60)
1910 E98 "Black Swamp" George Mullin – Green Background (PSA EX 5) - Only One Graded Higher!

One of the few mid-grade Black Swamp E98's, interestingly enough this PSA EX 5 George Mullin is joined by sixteen other examples with only a single specimen graded higher! "Wabash George" was a hard-throwing country boy who won 29 games for the Tigers in 1909. Three years later, Mullin would no-hit the Browns on his birthday, the 4th of July 1912 and while he will never be considered for Cooperstown status, any of his Black Swamp examples will forever enhance his cardboard legacy. Depicting strong near-mint aesthetics, most would agree this mid-grade offering suffices as one of the finest "EX" candy cards imaginable, and while not one of the ultra-high technically assessed Black Swamp E98's, it has only been bested by a SOLE Mullin green background subject!
