Branch Rickey Typed Signed Letter to Walter O'Malley PSA/DNA (LOA at PSA)
This signed typewritten letter, dated November 11th, 1949, on Brooklyn Dodger Letterhead was written to Dodgers owner, Walter O'Malley from Branch Rickey, better known for getting Jackie Robinson his start in Major League Baseball. Great content, letter reads, "Dear Walter, I think you will be interested in the attached reprint of an article entitled "Baseball - Sport or Commerce?" which appeared in the autumn issue of the University of Chicago Law Review. It was written by John Eckler, a young lawyer from Columbus, Ohio. It is the only review of the law pertaining to the subject that we have seen which is favorable to baseball. Very truly yours, Branch Rickey, President." Signed in black fountain pen, this is a must for the advanced Dodgers fan!
