1911–14 Butter Krust Cy Young PSA 4 (MK)
RARE CY!!!... Presented here is Cy Young's super obscure D304 Butter Krust subject boasting a PSA 4 (MK) assessment. Bested by only two PSA specimens (qualifiers notwithstanding), only a handful of mid-grade copies exist. Young's unparalleled legacy is based on his miraculous 511 lifetime wins, arguably sufficing as baseball's most unbreakable record. Justifiably so, they named the annual award for pitching excellence after the immortal Cy Young, and this bread card of the iconic right-hander, likewise, certainly merits superior hobby accolades. Showcasing his Boston Red Sox flannels, Cy's brilliant pitching image reveals atypical near-perfect centering, eluding any glaring creases and flanked by visually pleasing radiant yellow and tranquil green hues. Even corner wear, a diminutive crease near the upper right corner, and some soiling near the lower right quadrant prevent a higher assessment with the MK qualifier due to some stray notations along the verso's lower region. The final thumbs-up is the elusive "EAT Butter Krust BREAD" ad-back, and while you cannot add win #512 to Cy's lifetime victory total, you can in fact claim a victory by placing the final bid on this renowned Cy Young bread card!
