1911 D304 Brunners Frank Baker PSA 1 PR
HOME RUN BREAD CARD!!!... This scarce Frank Baker PSA 1 D304 Brunners Bread scarcity portrays the HOF third sacker in a classic fielding pose. Highlights include eye-pleasing orange and lime green background hues, with a diminutive tear along the left border and severe corner wear accounting for the grade. "Home Run" Baker was part of the legendary "$100,000 infield" along with Jack Barry, Stuffy McInnis and Eddie Collins. Contrary to popular belief, it wasn't Baker's two game-changing homers in the 1911 World Series that earned him the iconic "Home Run" nickname. In his 1909 rookie campaign, Baker walloped three home runs in his first few games with the Athletics, with sportswriters immediately dubbing him "Home Run" Baker. Baker would move on to pace the Junior Circuit in homers four consecutive seasons (1911 – 1914), with the final superlative of this D304 marvel being the highly coveted Brunners Bread advertisement!
