The beloved Say Hey Kid patrolled center field at the Polo Grounds for the NY Giants from 1951 to 1957, with the Giants moving to San Francisco after the 1957 campaign, breaking the hearts of both the Dodgers' and Giants' ardent fans. The Big Apple surely missed the incomparable Willie Mays, and this super scarce PSA Type 1 image reveals Mays back at the Polo grounds playing against the Mets in 1963, with an imposing banner held above Mays that reads: "WE LOVE, WILLIE – WE LOVE, METS." Indeed, many New York fans were torn between their NY Mets and former idol Willie Mays, with this sparkling image boasting the finest possible contrast and clarity while eluding any glaring flaws.
