1967 Topps #581 Tom Seaver Rookie PSA 9 MINT - Only 3 PSA Examples Graded Higher!

TOM TERRIFIC MINT ROOKIE!!! Trying to find a near-perfectly centered 1967 Topps Tom Seaver rookie card is similar to finding a needle in a haystack, substantiating why this extraordinary PSA 9 MINT Tom Terrific marvel's virtually spot-on image positioning places it as one of the finest known examples on the planet. Bested by a mere three PSA examples, its pinnacle stature is consistent with Seaver's standing as one of baseball's top-ten all-time pitchers. His immediate success prompted the Topps Chewing Gum Company to incorporate Seaver as their #581 high-number subject along with long-forgotten Bill Denehy. Seaver's true 1967 rookie card was officially born, proudly residing as one of the most iconic post-WWII inaugural HOF issues.

Dubbed "The Franchise", Tom Seaver was an unquestionable winner, and two years later, his 25 wins and first of three Cy Young awards would lead the Miracle Mets to their first championship. The HOF right-hander would end his incredible 20-year career with 311 wins, 3,640 strikeouts and a miraculous 2.86 ERA, standing alongside Walter Johnson as one of only two pitchers who ever compiled 300+ wins, 3,000+ strikeouts and a sub-3.00 ERA. The card reveals all of the pack-fresh attributes required for a MINT assessment including a breathtaking image, pack-fresh surfaces, bright colors, blinding white borders, blistering sharp corner tips, and the aforementioned remarkable centering. As a grand testament to Tom Seaver, we would like to summarize his elite stature by stating: "If you knew him, no words are necessary, and if you didn't know him, no words are adequate!"
