Group of (24) 1912 T202 Hassan Cigarettes Triple Folds with 3 SGC-Graded
The 132-card 1912 Hassan Triple Folders (T202) set is considered one of the most creative issues in the hobby, especially given its emergence in the early days of collecting. Each 2-1/4" x 5-1/4" card featured a black-and-white center action or portrait image with a standard-sized tobacco card on each end that folded closed against the B&W image. The end tobacco cards mirrored the 1911 T205 cards, featuring the players of the day, including Hall of Famers Ty Cobb, Christy Mathewson, Cy Young, Walter Johnson and more.

On the backs of these wonderful depictions were descriptive biographies of each player and the play circumstances displayed at center, as well as a Hassan advertisement. Offered here is a collection of 24 T202 Hassan Triple Folders, including three SGC-encapsulated issues. SGC-Graded: #79 Just Before the Battle – Bresnahan/McGraw (SGC 4.5), #129 Ty Cobb Steals Third – Jennings/Cobb (SGC 4), and #85 Just Before the Battle - Meyers/Mathewson (SGC Auth.). The remainder of the collection continues to show relatively few signs of handling and appears very fresh overall. However, the technical grades are available on the click-off page on our website. This uniquely produced set is one of the most innovative releases the hobby has ever seen and, therefore, one of the rarest and most desirable to find.
