The immortal Christy Mathewson's 373 victories are still tied with Grover Alexander for the most NL lifetime wins, and his three shutouts in the 1905 World Series against the Athletics will forever stand as baseball's all-time Fall Classic accomplishment. This, along with three consecutive 30-win seasons, all support the argument for Matty being one of baseball's premier all-time hurlers. One of Christy's most desirable cards is his 1911 T205 Gold Border subject, presented here in a superb PSA 4 holder and most significantly revealing minimal border wear that typically plagues a majority of T205 subjects due to their ultra-condition-sensitive gold border hues. Revealing a classic Mathewson portrait pose, the image depicts sparkling hues and vivid clarity, somewhat favoring the left edge.
