MID-GRADE TINKER!!! This magnificent PSA 5 EX 1911 Turley Red Joe Tinker Cabinet has only been bested by a mere three PSA examples! Joe Tinker's ultra-popular status as the first link of the iconic "Tinker to Evers to Chance" Chicago Cubs double play combination has earned his cardboard collectibles esteemed stature. The HOF Cubbies shortstop played 14 of his 15 MLB seasons in the Windy City, including two years in the Federal League. Ironically, his finest .317 batting average was achieved with the Reds in the Queen City, the one year he left Chicago. The spectacular Tinker throwing image has defied time, with the somewhat right-angled corners more consistent with a higher grade. The only notable flaw preventing a higher assessment is some diminutive soiling on the checklist back, with the brilliant central image hues and relatively clean obverse side being the highlights of this Cooperstown-worthy heirloom!
