PSA/DNA Authenticated STAN MUSIAL Game Used Bat
Fully Authenticated: A Hillerich & Bradsby Model M159 for the Labeling period 1961-1963. This bat is uncracked and shows evidence of Heavy Use. The barrel is covered with ball marks and ball stitch marks. Also visible are red bat rack streaks and the number 5 on the right barrel. The Knob is stamped Model 159.
Background: The bat was purchased at an estate auction sale of a promient Milwaukee area sporting notable named Orin Benson in August 2006. Benson was well known nationwide as an Animal Trainer working with hunting dogs and retrievers, bears, foxes, otters, hawks, and especially wolves. He was a major part of the Walt Disney Wildlife Films. Orin was inducted into the Retriever Field Trial Hall of Fame and was the founder of the 65 year old annual Milwaukee Journal/Sentinel Sports Show.This fully authenticated Game used Musial bat is a real find from Mr. Orin's estate.
