Mantle was at the height of his career during this period, having won the Triple Crown in 1956 and taking home the MVP trophy in back-to-back seasons. But that momentum would not let up in '58, as The Mick once again led the AL in homers (42), runs scored (127), walks (129) and total bases (307) while batting .304. In this seventh All-Star season, he came in 5th in AL MVP voting.
