1932 U.S. Caramel #27 Lefty Grove PSA 8 NM-MT - Highest Graded in the Hobby!
TRIPLE CROWN & MVP!!! By 1932, Lefty Grove was the wily veteran of the Philadelphia Athletics pitching staff, which included Rube Walberg and George Earnshaw, among others. He was the reigning MVP, having gone 23-4 with a 2.06 ERA, 175 strikeouts, 27 complete games and four shutouts, all league-leading statistics. His combined league-leading record, ERA and K total earned him his second straight pitching Triple Crown.
Lefty was five years into a six-year run of 20 wins or better, and after only eight seasons had a 171-71 record and two World Series titles. Presented here is his 1932 U.S. Caramel #27 card graded 8 NM-MT by PSA. This ultra-sharp Grove from the coveted multisport release shows a prominent reddish-orange background within four white borders, vivid text on the reverse and little to no visible wear overall. As one of only seven at this level with not a single issue graded higher, U.S. Caramel set builders should take notice of this Lefty Grove!
