(LOT 1685)
Carl Yastrzemski Professional Model Bat from 1973-1975 PSA/DNA LOA Bat Grade PSA GU 9

Offered here is a gorgeous high-grade Carl Yastrzemski Game-Used Bat. This piece of standard finished lumber weighs 33.5 oz. Measuring 34 inches of ash wood, this Hillerich & Bradsby bat carries the model number W215. The bat exhibits evidence of outstanding use with a crack on the back handle. Many ball marks and ball stitch impressions are visible on the back and right barrel. Cleat marks can also be seen on the back barrel. Also visible on the bat are blue bat rack streaks and there is a light coat of pine on the midhandle. This Baseball Hall of Famer finished in the top 10 in batting and the top three in OBP and Walks in 1973 and 1974! In 1974, Yaz led the league in runs scored. Making the World Series in 1975, Yaz also made the All-Star Game. Called in to pinch-hit in the 6th inning, Yaz came up to bat with no helmet and faced Baseball Hall of Famer Tom Seaver. The AL down 3-0 as Yaz sent the baseball sphere into outer space, hitting a home run and tying the game 3-3. Three great years with this bat, this is a must for your Boston Red Sox advanced collection. PSA GU 9!
