(LOT 114)
1932 U.S. Caramel #7 Joe Cronin PSA 8.5 NM-MT+ - POP 1; Highest Graded PSA Example!

POP 1; HIGHEST GRADED!!! This miraculous PSA 8.5 Joe Cronin U.S. Caramel Pop 1 gem stands tall as the finest PSA example of its kind! Indeed, of the 90+ encapsulated PSA Joe Cronin specimens, not a single copy has managed to achieve a 9 or 10 assessment. This world-class cardboard memento has somehow managed to survive the past 91 years in its virtually factory-issued condition, with its pack-fresh state defying insurmountable odds. Joe Cronin was the second shortstop ever elected to baseball's illustrious Hall of Fame, with Bobby Wallace besting him by only three years. Cronin played 20 MLB seasons, and as a celebration for this superstar who fielded the shortstop position so effectively, comes this sensational, museum-worthy marvel. A stoic Cronin portrait image happens to portray near-perfect centering, and the immaculate surfaces have sidestepped any glaring blemishes. Only a diminutive trace of toning situated near the obverse side's upper right corner as well as the verso's two upper quadrants prevent a higher grade. Blistering sharp corners, a striking red background, and vivid resolution complete this timeless candy treat that proudly stands alone as the best of the rest!
