(LOT 49)
1929 R316 Kashin Publications Babe Ruth PSA 6 EX-MT

RUTH KASHIN!!! Our National Pastime's most iconic player will forever be Babe Ruth, who was a baseball immortal, both on the pitching rubber and in the batter's box. Ruth revolutionized baseball via his long home runs and was responsible for saving the game in the early 1920s in light of the horrific Black Sox Scandal. One of Ruth's popular 1920s cards is his 1929 Kashin Publications issue, presented here in a superb PSA 6 holder. The Kashin Publications set was issued in 1929 and included 101 subjects, a year after the Yankees would sweep the Cardinals in the '28 Fall Classic to claim their second successive World Championship. Ruth would once again dominate the batter's box in 1929, posting 46 round-trippers, 154 RBIs, a .345 batting average, and an incredible 1.128 OPS. This offering reveals a classic Ruth batting stance image that only partly favors the right edge as he awaits to blast another tape-measure homer with his mighty lumber. Portraying splendid eye appeal consistent with the grade, the image reveals crystal-clear clarity, stellar contrast, and solid square corners, with only some diminutive soiling situated on the blank back. A bona fide keeper, it truly exhibits one of the finest Ruth batting poses on any cardboard issue!
