MARIS DINGER!!!... In one of the highest scoring World Series in history (82 total runs scored), the New York Yankees outscored the Pittsburgh Pirates 55-27 and managed to lose. The heavily favored Yankees posted three games with 10 or more runs, but the Pirates scored when it mattered closing it out with still the only Series winning walk-off home run in World Series play. Offered here is a PSA 3 VG ticket stub from Game 5 in which one of the great sluggers of the time, Roger Maris, launched one over the right field fence.
