FORD WINS GAME 1!!!... In 1957, Whitey Ford was 4-2 in seven World Series starts and was pitching in his fifth Fall Classic and third straight. Tapped as the Game 1 starter, Whitey would not disappoint, holding the Milwaukee Braves to five hits while striking out five as well. Hall of Famers Hank Aaron went 1-for-4 and Eddie Mathews was 0-for-2. Offered here is a 1957 Game 1 ticket stub graded 3 VG(MK) by PSA. A portion of a ticket vendor stamp can be seen on the reverse with random pencil marks also visible.
