No truer words were ever spoken for this eloquent quote uttered by Hall of Famer Sandy Koufax certainly applied to this fire-balling left-handed hurler who terrorized hitters for a four to five-year period arguably better than any pitcher who ever toed a rubber! In a literally unconscious four-year span (1963-1966), Koufax won 97 games, struck out 1,228 batters (307 per season) and compiled a microscopic 1.86 ERA! Those imposing statistics are a fitting testament to his assumed stature as our National Pastime's greatest peak-value twirler. This sparkling c.1960s PSA Type 1 image measuring approximately 7" x 9" portrays the dominate Koufax in a classic pitching pose that led to so many of his strikeouts and breathtaking performances including four no-hitters (one of which was a perfect game).
