Babe Ruth Autographed Classic Batting Swing Silver Gelatin Image – Photo Measures Approximately 6" x 9" – PSA LOA w/a 9 MINT AUTO Grade
SIGNED BABE BATTING IMAGE!!!... This captivating 6" x 9" silver gelatin photo revealing the Sultan of Swat's majestic batting swing has been boldly signed by Babe Ruth in black fountain pen. Authenticated by PSA for ironclad authenticity, it has been assigned a PSA 9 MINT autograph grade, with the full salutation reading as follows: "To My Friend Norman Freed – From Babe Ruth." It's no secret that the great Bambino signed an infinite number of artifacts for his ardent fans, with an abundance of scripted baseballs, "cuts", periodicals, etc. bearing Ruth's iconic signature. The Babe adored all of his followers, especially the young ones who worshiped him as if he was a god on earth, with Ruth always taking the time to appease the thousands of enthusiasts who sought his hallowed autograph. Unfortunately, the number of signed Ruth photos pales in comparison to the aforementioned balls and paper cuts, since images of Ruth were not available in a moment's notice.

This particular illustration is regarded as one of the most imposing known Ruth batting images extant as the Babe completes his mighty swing donning his classic Yankee home pinstripes. The full inscription and Babe Ruth signature has been perfectly affixed to his Yankees jersey, with no glaring blemishes compromising the timeless central image. The only notable flaws are some diminutive surface chips along the upper border, a few soiling spots along the central right border, and areas of toning/soiling on the blank verso. You can clearly see Ruth's eyes looking upward as he watches another horsehide sphere sail towards the furthest confines of Yankee Stadium. Originally gifted to the Ruth's friend Norman Freed, based on the penmanship/attributes of the Babe Ruth signature, it was most likely signed during the 1940s. Somehow, the entire illustration has managed to survive in eye pleasing condition, worthy of a permanent home in any esteemed "Ruthian" collection!
