(LOT 1809)
Chicago Bears 2001 NFC Central Division Champs City of Chicago Light Pole Banner

BEAR DOWN!!! For the fourth time in franchise history, with five overall, the Chicago Bear allowed the fewest points in the NFL during the 2001 season. Well known as a defensive minded organization, The Chicago Bears held opponents to only 203 points heading to a 13-3 record and the NFC Central title. The Windy City once again had high-hopes for the beloved Bears, who had not "won it all" since the 1985 Bears in Super Bowl XX. Presented here is colorful light pole banner from that playoff run entitled "Congratulations Chicago Bears – 2001 NFC Central Division Champs".

Emblazoned in the Bears orange and navy, each side of this vinyl congratulatory banner features a player in position with center Olin Kreutz (#57) on one side and tackle James Williams on the other. Measuring 76" x 29", this banner, likely mounted to a light pole along the famed Lake Shore Drive adjacent to Soldier Field, electrified fans as they prepared for another playoff run from the 2001 season. Scrolled across the bottom of Kreutz image in white reads "City of Chicago – Richard M. Daley – Mayor". Wind slits are present and pole pockets are sewn at top and bottom.
