1977 Cincinnati Reds Team Signed Official League Baseball - Big Red Machine with Rose, Bench, Seaver & 29 Others - PSA/DNA LOA
Coming off back-to-back World Series titles in 1975 and '76, the Cincinnati Reds were poised to defend once again with a nearly identical lineup known as the Big Red Machine. Led by future HOFers Johnny Bench, Joe Morgan, hit king Pete Rose and newly acquired right-handed Tom Seaver, the Reds battled all year spending the majority of the year chasing the first place Los Angeles Dodgers. And though Bench clouted 31 home runs and left fielder George Foster added a career-high 53 dingers, the Dodgers featured four 30-home runs hitters in Steve Garvey (33), Ron Cey (30), Dusty Baker (30) and Reggie Smith (32). The Dodgers held first place after only six games and never relinquished that top spot for the entire season, winning the NL pennant over the Philadelphia Phillies. Presented is a Louisville Slugger Official League baseball signed by 32 members of the Big Red Machine including Bench, Morgan, Foster, Rose, HOF manager Sparky Anderson and sluggers Ken Griffey Sr. and Ted Kluszewski. Still creamy white, this beautiful baseball shows only minimal toning or soil around the stitching with all signatures displaying "6-9" strength throughout. PSA/DNA LOA included.
