Here's one you don't see very often. This game-issued Frank Robinson R161 model bat just happened to be utilized by the Orioles star first sacker Boog Powell during the 1970-'72 period. Displaying heavy use with a handle crack, the PSA LOA depicts an abundance of significant criteria including Manufacturer (Hillerich & Bradsby); Model Number (R161); Labeling Period (1970-72); Length (35 Inches); Weight (33.8 Ounces); Wood Type (Ash); and Finish (Flame Burned). Frank Robinson's facsimile signature is engraved in typical fashion on the barrel's sweet spot, and the flame-burned surface reveals extensive use.

The knob includes the critical R161 model number as well as Boog Powell's #26 written in black marker. Powell's #26 clearly indicates he just happened to use this Frank Robinson's R161 model bat in MLB games; however, the possibility does exist that the great Hall of Famer Frank Robinson might have also used this bat. While we will never know with 100% certainty the answer to that scenario, what we do know based on PSA's expertise is that this stellar lumber resides as a true game-issued Frank Robinson bat utilized by Boog Powell.
