(LOT 99)
1909 T206 Nap Lajoie "Throwing" – Piedmont 150 Subjects/Factory 25 (PSA NM/MT 8) - "1 of 4 Piedmonts; Only 2 PSA Listed Piedmonts Graded Higher!"

One of the most popular T206 Hall of Famers is the legendary Napoleon Lajoie, with his sanctified Piedmont 150 Subjects T206 "Throwing" subject presented here in an amazing PSA NM/MT 8 holder. One of a meager 4 PSA listed Piedmont's at this exalted plateau, only two Piedmont specimens are listed at a higher technical assessment! Along with Hornsby and Eddie Collins, Lajoie is considered one of the top three 2nd sackers of all-time, and his amazing .426 batting average (posted in 1901), still stands as a Major League modern day record.

Somewhat synonymous with his premier standing is this outstanding offering that reflects premier attributes consistent with the seldom-surfacing PSA grade. The classic Lajoie throwing pose exhibits vivid resolution and vibrant facial hues, highly complimented by a spectacular yellow/orange and tranquil green background. Near-perfect centering between four super bright white borders creates an impeccable-like frame for one of the finest Lajoie images you will ever come across. Blistering sharp corner tips and super clean surfaces are the final "stamps of approval" for this cardboard masterpiece that has stubbornly defied "Father Time"!
