(LOT 89)
Oversized 1974 Hank Aaron Swinging Pose - PSA Type I Original Chicago Daily News Photo– Measures Approx. 9" x 13-3/4" – PSA Type 1 LOA

"He's sitting on 714…Here's the pitch by Downing…Swinging…There's a drive into left-centerfield…That ball is going to be out of here…It's Gone…It's 715…There's a new home-run champion of all-time and its Henry Aaron!" Such was the iconic call of Henry Aaron's historic 715th home run by Braves legendary announcer, the late Milo Hamilton. On April 8th 1974 at Fulton County Stadium, Aaron stepped into the batter's box in the bottom of the 4th inning against the Dodger's hard-throwing southpaw Al Downing. After taking ball one in the dirt, Aaron crushed Downing's next fastball into the bullpen as Dodger's outfielder Bill Buckner helplessly watched the ball sail over the left-centerfield fence.

The unthinkable had happened with Aaron finally surpassing Babe Ruth's magical 714 mark! That magnificent moment could virtually freeze time and render even the most advanced enthusiast absolutely speechless, sparking a monumental collector interest for the immortal Henry Aaron. With that in mind, presented here is a sensational oversized (9" x 13-3/4") swinging pose of the immortal Aaron taken later that legendary 1974 season by the Chicago Daily News. Struck on July 7, 1974, "Hammerin Hank" has just bashed his 725th career home run at Wrigley Field onto Waveland Ave., the 50th career round-tripper Aaron clouted at Wrigley Field!

You can literally feel Aaron's intensity as his bat has just made contact with the horsehide sphere, with Aaron's eyes completely fixated on the batted baseball. Incredible contrast and crystal clear clarity "steal the show"; with the brilliant image only depicting a small upper left corner wrinkle and some negligible notations on the upper and right bright white borders. The verso reveals the significant caption detailing the July 7, 1974 event as well as the Chicago Daily News credit stamp. A remarkable testament to Hank Aaron's unparalleled legacy, it turns back the clock to the year when he would turn the baseball world upside down by besting the "Sultan of Swat's" all-time homer mark! - PSA Type 1 LOA
